How to begin making changes

Here are a few things you can do to ID and begin making some changes.

We've all had days (even seasons) when things did not go to plan for any number of reasons.  Rather than get hung up with self-doubt & guilt, focus your attention on identifying the symptoms, then start drilling down for root cause. 

A simple way to get started is to examine the last 48-72 hours:

  • When did you eat?
  • What did you eat? (Do you keep a food journal? Do you need to start?)
  • Any NEW foods added?
  • Any new RECIPES? (hidden inflammatory ingredients often sneak in through new recipes)
  • Was your physical activity markedly different?  (New workout? Extra yardwork? ..OR..  unusually sedentary? Long road trip or plane flight?)
  •  Is your gut health any different?
  • How have you slept? (smart watch readings, as well as "do you feel rested")

Once you take a closer look at these and similar markers, you can often begin to see patterns in your own behavior...and begin to consciously correct them towards your health goals. 

This process can also be repeated when NO symptoms a re present as a" checks-and-balances" for your health S.M.A.R.T. goals to ensure that you are either a). still on-track, or b). you might need to modify your goals in some are
